The project is located at the existing Budd Inlet Treatment Plant in Olympia and includes a new 21,300 SF Administration building, 7,700 SF of renovated Lab space, and a 3,500 SF of interactive, educational exhibit space. The building has achieved a LEED platinum rating by the USGBC. This administration building houses personnel, as well as, promotes their environmentally responsible wastewater treatment and reclaimed water services.

Studio 8×3 (formerly 33 Design) led the programming, interior design, casework design, and furniture selection for this project. Interiors sought to incorporate natural materials like reclaimed wood from a nearby demolished warehouse, cork, and bamboo to balance the industrial tone of the steel structure and polished concrete floors. To support the environmental goals of the project, many cradle-to-cradle furniture components were specified.
