Architect: The Miller Hull Partnership
Awards: 2009 Seattle AIA What Makes It Green Top Ten

The 52,000 SF Natural Science building provides instructional classrooms, labs and lecture auditorium for the Biology, Geology, Physics, Anatomy and Chemistry departments. The lab functions are housed in one three-story wing and the classroom and office functions are housed in a separate three-story wing. The building has achieved a LEED Gold rating by the USGBC.

Studio 8×3 (formerly 33 Design) provided Interior Design services, material and finish selections, for the project. The interiors featured a monumental stair and open study areas for the students at the connective corner between the lab and classroom/office wings. The interior design included thoughtful selection of ecologically intelligent materials and finishes that met LEED credits and created a vibrant environment for the students and faculty.
